Superman: La serie animada

«Superman: La serie animada» es una serie animada protagonizada por Superman, y fue transmitida entre 1996 y 2000 por Warner Brothers. Fue producida por Bruce Timm y Paul Dini, y forma parte del mismo universo de ficción que «Batman: La serie animada», «Batman del futuro», «Liga de la Justicia» y «Liga de la Justicia Ilimitada».

A diferencia de otras versiones animadas previas de Superman, esta serie no está dirigida a un público infantil sino a un grupo de más edad, más conocedor de las historietas de super héroes. Las aventuras no tienen un «mensaje» y los personajes no son unidimensionalmente «buenos» o «malos». La acción tiene un buen grado de violencia, y en más de una ocasión hay personajes que son asesinados o condenados a la pena de muerte. Superman: The Animated Series.
